http://www.navarreportland.blogspot.com/
We are honored to have Chef/Owner John Taboada from Navarre, winner of Oregonian's restaurant of the year award, here to prepare both a delicious lunch and also our final dinner.

"Navarre is a restaurant in Portland Oregon that serves 50+ wines by the glass.  We have small and large plates, serving food based in Italian, French and Spanish origin.  We work with a csa (47th avenue farms) and the specials are based on what is delivered that week along with the whims and interests of the staff."

From http://www.oregonlive.com/diner/index.ssf/2009/06/restaurant_of_the_year_navarre.html

"Navarre still doesn't look or taste like anything else in Portland. It has the spirit of a family-run restaurant off the main street in Spain or France, one of those hidden treasures where only the locals eat. But it also feels very Portland: part food salon, part kitchen cabinet and run by a charismatic obsessive who sometimes cooks, sometimes hosts and always looks like he just rolled out of bed. It doesn't take long to figure out that something extraordinary is happening."

Friday:  Breakfast and Lunch - Venita Divine, Zachary Williams, and Westwind staff

Venita Divine is the chef in charge of daily operations at Westwind, running a small but talented staff of individuals, the last days meals will be a smorgasbord of foodstuff and delicacies, prepared whimsically from the pantry.  The seminar will end with a take away snack for attendees, as well, to help them carry a piece of Westwind and the seminar with them as they trek out of the Lincoln Co. coastal property back to their local areas.
