Coming and Going At Other Times

Coming and going during the week must be coordinated and scheduled directly with Lezak Project staff.

Schedule of Events:

"Fixing Food": What Ails Us & The Economy will be split into two parts. From Monday afternoon to the middle of Wednesday, Part One will be a (more) traditional conference, with keynote speakers and workshops (but with plenty of time for recreation, food and fun). From midday Wednesday through Friday, Part Two will be a peer conference led by Adrian Segar and Anne Lezak (still with plenty of time for recreation, food and fun). Check the Program Outline for information on Part One and Part Two.

Youth Programming:

The program will include activities and discussions related to nutrition and food-related issues. Young people will participate in organic farming, composting, worm bin making and tending, and work on decreasing food waste.  We'll include a game on where their food comes from, and how to balance meals when cooking out-of-doors. And favorite activities at Westwind:  Molecrabbing, tidepooling, estuary exploration and critter catching, capture the flag, sprout ball, sandcastle digging, shelter building, seal viewing, frisbee golfing, beach combing, arts and crafts, magnetite panning, outdoor cooking, campfire songs and s'mores, and lots of hiking and enjoying the sense of place that comes from such an incredible site.
